Music video ideas

Music video discussionOllie and Natalie

The Song/ArtistWe chose the song Da Vinci Riot Police by George Ezra as it did not have a music video and we felt it could allow us to create a good story line

The genre is Indie with pop and folk influences, so it caters to a mass audience but also filters in with other genres which we feel is unique

ActorsFor our narrative, the 2 actors were Courtnei and Lorenzo who live in Weston, and are friends of Ollies which allowed us to communicate easily with them. They both attend drama groups and therefore have a lot of acting abilities and experience.

For our performance, we are using Natalies uncle as our artist. Him being family makes it easier and we know he is reliable. He is also in a band and plays the guitar, which really suits our artist and should work well.

Locations - NarrativeWe filmed our narrative at Weston-super-mare in several different places including Sand Bay, Marine Lake and our actors houses on the 26th of October, during half term.

Locations - PerformanceWe plan to film at Natalies house on Sunday 13th November, mainly in the living room and outside in the garden area.

This location was chosen due to the fact that it is easily accessible by everyone and is quite spacious.

Storyboard/general planning

The storyboard allowed us to visualise how our video will look, and it has immensely helped us during the first editing stages in order for us to be able to follow our storyline, and make changes too

Slight changes in our narrativeAs we began editing, we noticed that our narrative was shifting from moving on from bad times (e.g. family life) to more of a romance as the families of our actors did not want to be involved, and the sunset connotes this idea of their love.

This actually suits our genre more.

Most recent edit (without real performance footage, just focus on the narrative bits)
