Beyoncé- Love on top We have chosen this image as we feel it uses good representation of the message the song interpret of the women being the stronger sex. The composition of the still image helps enforce the image, such as the background of the five men and the foreground of Beyoncé centre stage and closest to the camera. The costume is another example of her being the stronger focus as she is dressed in white and the backing dancers are dressed in a darker shade that blends into the background, therefore making Beyoncé stand out more. Beyoncé- Love on top

We have chosen this image as we feel it uses good representation of the message the song interpret of the women being the stronger sex.

Naughty Boy- La La La ft Sam Smith

We have chosen this image as it represents the meaning of the words of the song. The representations of ‘la la la’ are repeated throughout the song as it revolves around the child not wanting to listen to the language of his parents. As he leaves his home he makes two other friends, which are in the same position of him. This close up of the composition shows the emotion of the boys face when he leaves his friends.

Calvin Harris – I need your love ft. Ellie Goulding

We have chosen this shot as we feel that it represents the message that the song is trying to give. The close up of the two shows a strong bond between the two characters. also The composition of the body language such as their faces are turned to look at each other also helps create this relationship between them. We liked how the whole video is created by handheld camera shots making it feel more of a personal home video as though they are creating a memory together. We feel we could use this idea when creating our own music video as it would make it more individual and stand out.

Ellie Goulding – Burn

We have chosen this still as it represents the lyrics of the song ‘light it up’ we feel that this works well as it shows the audience the producers and artist have thought about how they wanted to present lyrics to the viewers and the way the viewers might interpret it themselves. The shot itself works really well as it uses a good depth of field to make the main character the focus point but yet still setting a scene with the lights in the background.

Rudimental - Waiting All Night

We choose this still as this music video is different from all the other videos we have choosen as it is based on a true life story and shot as a home video. Also it doesn’t include any of the artists in the band therefore it is all based around the story. This works well as it captures the audiences attention and wanting them to find out what happened to the main character that the story was based around. The music video fits in well with the lyrics of the song as it is based around sticking together and wanting to help each other through the bad times.

Jessie J – Wild

We chose this clip as it is different from the others as the whole music video is shot in black and white with a hazed effect. This adds more focus and attention to the main characters. The background and setting is very plain, we feel that this doesn’t fit with the genre and lyrics as the song is based around being wild, and the music video itself is very plain and not very original.
