It is with a heavy heart that Da

Urban Lion Music Studio must say

good-bye to our dearest

brother, Benjamin Merritt.

Benjamin was a part of the

Liontracks Band as an avid

supporter of Roots Reggae music.

He traveled with the band and

soon became an adopted member

of the Pauling family. he was one

of the original investors of Da

Urban Lion Music Studio with the

goal of positivity and bringing

joy to music lovers, especially

Reggae music lovers. He was a

giving, unselfish, fun-loving and

respectful young man who was

taken from us too soon. Rest in

Peace brother…..we love and miss

you!

2018: A YEAR IN REVIEW

2018 was another great year for Da

Urban Lion Music Studios!! As the stu-

dio celebrated its second year in busi-

ness, it started streaming two CD’s

and two singles on media such as

Spotify, Pandora, iTunes,

and Tidal (just to name a

few). “Hoops4Lyfe” kids

came to learn about per-

cussion instruments be-

fore having the opportuni-

ty to play the instruments and record in the booth.

Aquarius Moon rocked the house with their R&B

sounds and Liontracks gave listeners a real Roots

Rock Reggae experience Artist Show-

case Night. Liontracks Reggae Band

had fantastic performances during

2018 at The Patio 924, The Blossom

Festival, The Black Youth Experience,

Wake Forest University World Cultural

Festival and The International Festival.

Studios would like to

take this time to thank all that came

during 2018 whether it was to record

music as a singer, rapper or musician,

those who came use the studio as a

rehearsal space or attend a perfor-

mance during the Artist Showcase

Night and to those members of

Liontracks Reggae Band. Good

memories will forever be with us

for Brother Kombo and Brother

Benjamin and a special thanks for all

that they did to support the studio

and for their passion of music and

the arts. Most of all, thank you to

our ever growing family of music

lovers for a grateful year of 2018!
