Glitter and shiny images are used! Instead of using plain colours they have used bright shiny colours and luminous ones to. This makes the magazine a lot easier to see, and it makes the magazine look more fun for the younger ages! The idea of adding the glitter to paper/customisation gives the impression that the audience will be able to get involved with the magazine!

They use fun slang words and play on words. This shows that the magazine is aimed at teenagers, as younger people will not understand the use of the word play and the older people do not find it very interesting. It gets the audience thinking but also shows them what the whole magazine will be about.

The picture of Olly Murs is very important for the magazine as this image is what will catch the audience’s eye, but also will make the audience want to buy the magazine. They used Olly Murs because of how popular he is there is no point of them using a image of someone no one has heard of or no one will want to buy the magazine so they have used someone that is popular. The reason the image is just of his face and upper body is because his face is the main focus people will only notice him by his face. His hand gesture makes the image look a lot more cool and relaxed just like most teenagers are.

The magazine cover also contains important information that all magazines much have for example a barcode and legal information etc. If it does not have this on the magazine not only will it not be able to be sold but it will also not look as professional as it should look.

The front cover also contains advertisements as well. The reason they do this is because they sell clothing and products that the popular pop stars wear and use. They know that people will buy the products as these pop stars are people’s idols so people will want to look like them.
