House StyleThe house style of this Issue of the magazine is very blatant (though it can vary from different issues). The house colour sets a sensible yet attractive tone for younger readers who are more attracted to the topic/features.

The House style colour scheme is Black, with White, Yellow, and Red Features. (E.G text, logos, magazine Masthead).

Main Cover PictureThe main cover picture is

in context with the main cover line

And therefore is a picture of the featured Producer/DJ

‘Porter Robinson’ Who is giving a direct address by

looking at the readerThe clothes he’s wearing are minimalistic and suit the house style, this will

also help to attract readers.

Breaking Usual Conventions

On this magazine cover there is no proper mode of address to the audience (Apart from the direct gaze of the main cover image). And there is no borders to any of the magazine cover. There is no more Article Images (Cover photos) to help advertise some of the other features in the magazines, this is an unusual thing as most magazines try to advertise as much as Is needed to gain a bigger audience. Another conventions which has been altered from the usual is that the Sell Line of this Magazine is placed in very small white lettering under the Masthead, rather than clear view of the reader.

House StyleThe House style of the NME ‘Daft Punk’ issue, is using two contrasting colours of turqoise and pink with the block colour of White in front on the text.

Page 7: Music Magazine Conventions (Usual and Unusual)

Main Cover PictureThe main cover picture is

of the featured artist Daft Punk. Because of the direct gaze from the characters

(Robots) it makes the reader even more

interested. And as the background has bright

contrasting colours to the characters it already is

attractive to the audience.

Breaking Usual Conventions

The NME cover breaks a lot of conventions.

First off there is no other cover photos (of the magazine contents).

There is no Overly large title for the Main cover line.

The main cover image is behind everything (instead of arranged).
