Themes and colours Keep the same theme throughout and background, maybe change the theme a bit when talking about a certain artist ex… add red green and yellow for reggae section.

Style of print I will use something that stands out against the background and is clear and a reasonable size (16) so it is easy to read and looks effective.

Audience People that are 16-40 quite intelligent and still in school, someone that likes gigs and festivals and not aimed at people who like rap or street music.

Main story Be on headline of front cover, be double page spread, a lot of images etc… on artist gossip or gigs

Images to use Use images to suit the topic so on a festival page on latest upcoming festivals have a image from the latest festival.

Picture from the latest best selling gig or a festival , medium close up of artist headlining or a over shoulder shot with crown in background.

Main cover line:What will be the main story?

Who was best at the latest festival who headlined? Who played, what happened (did a certain artist not show up…)

Additional key images:What other images will be on your front cover?

No other images as I don’t want it to be picture based and have more text.

Additional cover lines:Other features, stories or selling points which will be inside the magazine, these need to be audience appropriate.

Possibly a grey and white background with colour images faded into the background, with other colours with different themes of music on certain pages.
