AIR FORCE MUSEUM (Bảo Tàng Không Quân)

Much of the equipment was given to the Vietnamese by the USSR and one piece even came to them from the Germans by way of the Soviets. One of the pieces is a huge helicopter in back. There's also the wreckage of an American jet aircraft from a carrier. I thought the Army Museum had a lot of military equipment in it but this beats that one by a long shot.


ARMY MUSEUM (new name: Vietnam military history museum)

HOA LO PRISON MUSEUM

A gruesome relic is the ominous French guillotine, used to behead Vietnamese revolutionaries. There are also displays focusing on the American pilots who were incarcerated at Hoa Lo during the American War.

Its exhibition shows the process of building, fighting and growing of Military Zone Thu Do’s Armed Forces in the cause of national liberation, construction and defence of the Fatherland under the slogan: “Prepared to die for the country’s survival”.
