THE KETT JETT

BREAK

The closer the airbrush is to the subject the narrower the spray pattern. The further the airbrush is from the subject the wider the spray pattern. Increase or decrease the distance between the airbrush and the face to control the width of the spray pattern.

NARROW SPRAY PATTERN(dots and fine lines)

Distance from the skin is .25 inch to 3”. Used for eye shadow, fine detail work and concealing on the face not under the eyes.

AIR TECHNIQUES

WIDE SPRAY PATTERN(Dash and broad strokes)

Distance from skin is 3” to 6”. Used for the application of foundation, body designs, or when less detail or coverage of a large area is required on face or body.

THE DOT METHODA dot is used to conceal imperfections on the skin such as a blemish, hyper-pigmentation and tattoos.

AIRBRUSH PATTERNS

THE DASH METHODA dash is a long brush stroke that is used to create a contour on the eye or cheek. It is also used at a distance to blend foundation on the entire face. Correct dashes should have ends that taper and fade.

AIRBRUSH PATTERNS

THE SPATTER METHODSpatter happens when the lever on the airbrush is released too abruptly. You must increase pressure gently and decrease pressure gently without lifting your finger off the lever. If this is done incorrectly or abruptly, spatter will occur.

Note: Never pull the lever entirely back. This will cause too much makeup to be applied too rapidly.
