What is Muscular Dystrophy?

Types of Muscular Dystrophy
According to NCBI, there are 7 different types of muscular dystrophy:• Becker muscular dystrophy• Duchenne muscular dystrophy• Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy• Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy• Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy• Myotonia congenita• Myotonic dystrophy

Symptoms of Muscular Dystrophy
• Muscular dystrophy symptoms vary with different types of Muscular Dystrophy. All of the muscles may be affected. Or, only specific groups of muscles may be affected, such as those around the pelvis, shoulder, or face. Muscular dystrophy can affect adults, but the more severe forms tend to occur in early childhood

How do people with MD live, and what can I do to help them out?
People with MD need to have an aid. They are usually the children you see in wheelchairs who move around uncontrollably since MD can also cause Mental Retardation. What you can do is use common courtesy around them, like treat them like any other normal person.
