Injury – A protective mechanism to minimise movement.Vigorous activity – As a result of fatigue Rest cramps – Most common in older adults Dehydration – Excessive fluid loss from perspiration, warm weather or medicines Low blood calcium and magnesium – Essential to contract and relax your muscles.
