Glenna is currently away on a holiday cruise, so this is just a reminder of the upcoming events. We have two venues this month, May 22nd and May 25th. We will be at KGH on May 22nd and at a Garage Sale at Len’s complex on the 25th. We are good for volunteers at Len’s but need some signups for the KGH venue.

Sheriff John was in a pondering mood this evening. He was thinking about things like “If you get scared half to death twice, what happens? What is the speed of dark? or How can there be self-help groups?” No one could help him so they offered money instead. SIGNS SIGNS EVERYWHERE THERE’S SIGNS

Bowling Fundraiser – the evening of 5-pin bowling at the Capri Lanes on Saturday, June 1st is approaching fast. At this time some 75 tickets are out for sale with 25 still waiting to be sold. We need to have an idea how many have been sold so please be prepared to report your sales at the meeting on May 16th and 23rd. Jack and Rusty are organizing the prizes and any profits will be split between the Kelowna Women’s Shelter and JoeAnna’s House. Richard has the unsold tickets for those wanting to purchase them.

Wild Festival for Youth, June 13th - we have been approached again to supply the lunch for this event. Brian is coordinating our contribution and will be looking for volunteers for this event.

District Governor Changeover Function. July 5th – The District Governor Changeover event will be held at the Coast Capri Hotel on July 5th. The regular meetings on July 4th and 11th have been cancelled to help reduce the cost of attending this event. Those Rotarians planning to attend need to register at https://portal.clubrunner.ca/50005/Event/district-changeover-2019 Membership – Mike has secured a spot for our club at the Downtown Block Party on July 13th. GUEST SPEAKER There was no guest speaker at this meeting as there was a Board Meeting scheduled after the regular meeting.
