*This is a detailed tentative itinerary and is subject to changes. The final itinerary & dates will be given upon registration and finilisation of logistics most suitable to run the program after consultation with the school/participants. **Program fee needs to be paid to the school by parents and the school will make a consolidated transfer to MUN Cafe. Individual payments made directly to MUN Cafe by students will attract additional taxes.

TRAINING & PREPARATION

Element Description of the Service

Model United Nations Conference

The Cornell Model United Nations Conference will held on the beautiful Ivy League campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by the Cornell International Affairs Society. The conference offers a diverse blend of committees from different historical periods and regions of the world. The committees of CMUNC are small, many under 25 delegates, to provide students with the opportunity to participate in debate and actively learn

MUN Workshop & MUN Office Hours

MUNCafe will have its expert MUN team present at the conference. MUNCafe will host a MUN Workshop on Friday morning for the delegates. There will also be a MUN office hours during the conference which the students can take advantage of for help during the conference.

College & University Panels

Students will participate in Cornell University Panels where students will get a chance to meet students from the university and interact with professors

University explorations & Interaction

All the University campus explorations included in the itineraries will be conducted by select associates / current or ex- students from the universities.Universities can include - Cornell University, Georgetown University, George Washington University

Guided Explorations & Museums

United Nations Headquarters, Taughannock Falls/ Add on’s can include US Capitol Hill, Smithsonian Museums

Discover America - City Scapes

Cruise to Statue of Liberty, Times Square walks, New York City exploration - Financial District, Wall Street, World Trade Center & Ground Zero Site, Rockefeller Centre, Central Park, Grand Central Terminal

Element Description of the Service

Preparation & Orientation An Information Seminar will be done at the school itself for the registered students along with their parents preferably. This will be followed by a series of online delegate mailers pertaining to various aspects of preparation

Special MUN Training A dedicated trainer will deliver training workshops on campus. The training will be based on the skill level of the delegation

Pre-Departure Preparation Kits

Comprehensive Pre-departure preparation kits (brochures) will be sent to the students 15 days prior to the departure which will have all the necessary information required to travel to the US

Reflection Customized learning logs will be provided for the students to capture their learning & experiences during the program to provide a certain sense of recall after the program.

Online Blog A dedicated online community & blog will be created for the students to express themselves during the program and will be active once the program starts

SAFETY & ONSITE MANAGEMENT

LOGISTICS

Element Description of the Service

Program curator A dedicated program curator from MUNCafe will assist a group of maximum 30 students right from the arrival (at the airport in the US) till the departure time. The curator will be from the India team of MUNCafe and will be the end responsible for the group. They undergo a week long onsite simulation based training before the program.

Mentors & Crew A group of mentors, guides, local experts & onsite managers who are carefully selected and highly experienced in their domains will be part of the delivery team delivering respective aspects of the program

24x7 Hotline, Comm team& Access to the delegation

A team of 3 people will be available for updates / feedback / complaints / suggestions. Daily reports will be uploaded on a dedicated page on our website for the school. Each group of 10 will be provided with local sim card and the number, along with the curators’ numbers will be shared before departure.

Insurance A comprehensive insurance policy with a coverage of 2,00,000 USD will be procured for each individual delegate in the group.

Hospitals A network of hospitals will be used in the case of any emergencies. All the hospitals in the cities as well as intercity are marked out in advance. This preparation is based on the hospital lists provided by the insurer* Please note that this mechanism is put in place in order to manage any emergency. Delays due to things

beyond our control, in spite of through preparation and readiness are possible.

First-AID Each curator will carry a comprehensive first-aid kit. They are all trained in administering first-aid.

Element Description of the Service

Air Travel International Economy Class Air Travel in reputed airlines

Visa Only visa facilitation fee for US visa.*Please note that the visa fee has to be borne by the individuals themselves

Local & Inter-city travel On ground travel and inter city transfers in the US will be in trains/air conditioned coaches throughout the program

Accommodation Accommodation during the program & conference will be at leading 2-4 star international hotel brands like Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn, Four Points by Sheraton, Best Western.

Meals Veg & Non-Veg meals will be served in restaurants/food chains of repute. Meal preferences will be taken down during the application process. Jain/Halal and other meal options are available. These can be in the form of freshly packed meals in some cases, especially when the total number of such requests is very limited.

Conference Meals The meals including breakfast during the MUN are not covered by the conference. They are kept optional is due to the conference structure. Each committee has a different time slot for meals, all within a broad range of 1.5hrs. Committee groups might also have lunch together in some cases. Hence, meals cannot be arranged delegation wise by our team. However, we can provide meal options in the food court attached to the venue and nearby restaurants, chargeable at 150 USD/person for all the meals during the conference.

Customisation These are taken into account based on the application form and are factored in while preparing room allocations, food menu. We try our best to give as many choices to students based on additional preferences.
