SEC|ION I TITLE - This Ordinance shall be known as "An Ordinance Establishing the9 Infanta Abattoir/Slaughterhouse in Barangay Pilaway, Infanta, Quezon and Appropriating Funds10 Therefor.1l12 SECTION 2 - DEFINITION OF TERMS - As used in this ordinance, the following terms13 shall mean:l415 2.1. Abattoir or $aughtertrqrse - rcfers to trre premises apprwed and registered by the16 government used in the slaughtering of animals for human mnsum$ion.I7l8 2.2. Slaughter - refers to the prccess of humane killing of animals intended for human19 consumption.2021 2.3. NMIS - NaUonal Fleat Inspection Service- the sole national controlling/competent22 authority attached to the Department of Agriculture charged by.the govemment with the23 control of meat hygiene and meat inspection.24252627Zg abattoir facility which includes site development, building construction, eguipment installation,29 provision of utilities s.rch as water, electricity, communications and others, except for land30 acquisition.3132 SECTION 3 - APPROPRIATIONI. The initial amount of P2.5 Million peso is appropriated in33 the 20olo EDF of the 2010 budget as approved by the Municipal Dwelopment Council Additional34 fund for the completion of the project shall come from the PDAF of Congressman Mark Enverga35 and from the National Meat Inspection Service as reguested. Total Project Cost is estimated at36 P7 Million Pesos.3738 SECTION 4 - Implementing Arm - The 1* Phase of the project will be undertaken by the39 Municipality of Infanta costing 2.4 Million Pesos thru bidding . Subsequent amount to be40 released from PDAF of Congressman Mark Enrrerga br conrpletion could be undertaken by4l DPWH or National Meat Inspection Service Technical Working Group Region IV-A.4243 SECTION 5 - SEPARABIUW CIAUSE - If arry part or prwi$on d this ordinance is held44 unconstitutional or invalid, other parts or provisions hereof which are not affected thereby shall45 continue to be in full ficrce and effiect.4647 SECTION 6 - EFFTTIWIY CLAUSE -This ffiinance shall take eftct immediately upon48 its approval.
