Working with the folks at Tri A Angus this year we have focused on using on farm ingredients to grow and develop these bulls. Using on farm forages and grain we were able to increase the plain of nutrition through a low inclusion supplement that provided highly digestible protein, high levels of organic minerals and yeast. The bulls feeding program is designed to ensure proper gut health. The bulls

are developed on grass with their moms and then moved onto a balanced diet that promotes lean muscle growth. The organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and over all health of bulls. The overall nutritional health and development of the bulls and the entire cow herd is of utmost impor-tance and is tweaked to meet environ-mental and seasonal conditions.

It was a tough decision to decide to put this bull in our sale due to the fact that we wanted to keep him as a herd sire. Grand Slam is a deep, thick constructed bull. I often say this bull walks like a cat – smooth! His moth-er, HMR 45A, is from a Top Brass son which we raised as a herd bull. We have found there is great communication between CK Conform 57C and HMR 45A. Grand Slam is hands down a herd sire prospect!
