SEEING YOUR LIFE THROUGH THE LENS OF THE

GOSPELS John 14:1-12

1. ‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.’ Trust in another person can help us in difficult times. Remember and give thanks for the people you were able to trust in difficult moments. Remember also when your faith in God helped you through anxious moments. 2. Thomas struggled with the desire, which is in all of us, to know exactly the destination before we set out. Jesus invites us to make an act of faith and to take one step at a time. Can you recall times when it helped you to take that trusting attitude to life? 3. Jesus proposed himself to Thomas as the way, the truth and the life. In what ways has Jesus been the way, the truth and the life for you on your faith journey? 4. Philip wanted Jesus to give him a glimpse of God and got the surprising answer ‘Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.’ Jesus put a human face on the love of God. He gives us a glimpse of the divine. We are Jesus in the world today, called to follow Jesus and to put a human face on the love of God for those who meet us. Coming to the Eucharist for the First Time..... This weekend at the 11.30am liturgy we welcome the boys and girls along with their families and friends to this the second weekend of First Holy Communion celebra-tions in our Parish. We as a parish community ask you to pray for the children as they come to the Lord‘s table for the first time.

Lord Jesus Christ, in the Sacrament of the Eucharist

You left us the outstanding manifestation of your limitless love for us. Thank You for giving our children the opportunity to experience

this love in receiving the Sacrament for the first time. May your Eucharistic presence keep them ever free from sin,

fortified in faith, pervaded by love for God and neighbour, and fruitful in virtue, that they may continue to receive You

throughout life and attain final union with You at death. AMEN.

Youth Holy Hour for Exam Students: Muckno JPII Papal Cross participants are holding a Youth Hour for all

exam students on Tuesday 16th May from 7-8pm in St. Mary's Church. Students are welcome to join in an hour of reflection, prayer and music. All welcome. Muckno JPII’s Lourdes Pilgrims are

hosting a Table Quiz in Iontas, Fri 19th May at 7.30pm. Table of 4 is €20. All proceeds going towards

Muckno JPII pilgrimage going to Lourdes. Raffle on the night. All welcome.

Blayney Blades: 1st Saturday Coffee

Morning: A big thank you is extended to all those who attended our Coffee Evening on Friday last. A total of €865 was raised including donations into Blayney Blades Office. All proceeds this month will go towards to Famine in South Sudan.

Famine has been declared in South Sudan. 100,000 people face starvation and a further one million are at risk. Moving On Adult Career Course: Our sport and Recreation Course is going from strength and are currently taking names from all men and women aged 18yrs+. Relic of St. Oliver Plunkett: will visit the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in

All petitions received will be placed in a special box beside the relics and your intentions will be remembered during the three Masses offered during the day.
