Now more than ever teen-
agers are experiencing in-
creased levels of stress. As
many as 70% of adoles-
cents report being nega-
tively affected by the aca-
demic pressures of school, the difficulties of getting
into the right college,
and the challenges of bal-
ancing a range of extracur-
ricular activities. They also
report repeated conflicts
with peers and family
members. Over half of all
teens feel pressures from social media, and a growing
number are victims of cyber bullying.
Without even realizing it, adolescents today are overstimulated and often detached from family and
friends. Constantly surrounded by cell phones and
24/7 social media, they lose their ability to connect
with themselves, their thoughts and bodies. Not sur-
prisingly, 90% of teenagers even report that they are
disconnected from nature.
Participants who complete the course can enhance
their ability to:
Relax Concentrate Communicate more effectively with others
Improve academic and athleticperformance
