FIRM: Reliant Realty ERA Powered YEARS IN REAL ESTATE: 4th year HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE REAL ESTATE BUSINESS: My husband, Dave Patton, has been a REALTOR in Middle TN since 2001. In 2016, Dave asked me to quit my job and come into the business with him full time. It proved to be fortuitous as I became licensed in May, and Dave had a heart attack in June. I had to jump in & continue his book of business while he recovered. I wrote a $1 million in contracts that month (with his supervision!). YOUR VOLUNTEER ROLE AT MTAR? AT OTHER ASSOCIATIONS? OTHER VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS? Community Relations Committee Member Services Committee Past Chair & current member Board of Directors member 4-year Band Mom in charge of BB concessions 8-year World Out-reach Church Children’s Ministry Team leader Reliant Realty’s MDA Golf tournament volunteer WHY DO YOU VOLUNTEER WITH MTAR – what do you get for your commitment? I have made tremendous friendships through the brotherhood of Real Estate. I became a more confident REALTOR as my associates became by “friendly faces.” I became more knowledgeable with my industry. I am developing leadership and maturity in my profession. WORDS OF WISDOM FOR YOUR FELLOW MTAR REALTORS…. I would recommend getting involved. It will start with helping you to be a better REALTOR, and then working toward helping home ownership. You will work from ME, to US, to THEM, or from Rutherford County, to TN, to National issues that affect
our industry and our clients. I think that lifting our industry is the most important job that we have as professionals.

ADVOCACY :
As REALTORS, it is something we do everyday. Wheth-
er we are representing a buyer, a seller , an investor , a
landlord or a renter, we are advocating for their best
interest. Property rights, Impact fees, Flood insurance,
Professional fees, Property taxes, Affordable Housing
and Real Property Financing are all issues for which we
advocate.
RPAC supplies the power behind our advocacy and our
Investment in RPAC keeps our advocacy strong. Are
you advocating to the best of your ability?
