Computer-Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) in engineering is a method of manufacturing in which the entire production process is controlled by computer. CIM incorporates a number of other technologies that are industries unto themselves, such as CAD/CAM, machine tools, controllers, material handling equipment and robotics. CIM support software allows the movement of information between parts of the manufacturing process, and is thus the key to making the system work.

ARISTO SIM is a user-friendly software for robot programming and simulation. Ready-made applications are available to train the user in the operations of the robot such as movement, programming and code generation. This software gives you the flexibility to design your applications and import them into the software for simulation. ARISTO SIM has graphics which enable you to visualize the robot from various angles as the robot moves in the simulated application. It allows you to watch your code at work thus finalizing your program for operation and protecting the robot from accidents. Linear SlideLinear Slide base has the capability to control linear movement along an axis. Students can make use of this kit to control the linear movement of the slide with respect to the homing position and to and fro movement possible, for increased flexibility in controlling various applications.
Belt ConveyorBelt conveyor is an equipment to move materials/objects from one end to other between its extreme ends. This is a miniature model of a real time industrial conveyor system. The operation of the conveyor is limited to single direction according to the usage.The conveyor belt rolls over two pulleys fixed on either end. The pulleys roll freely and maintain a free movement for the belt.
Pneumatic KitMechatronics Pneumatic Kit has the capability to control solenoid valves, different cylinders, different control valves, sensors, etc. Students can make use of this kit to control and actuate the various movements of the Linear single/Double acting cylinders, adding feasibility to the sense of the position of the cylinder with the help of different types of sensors; one for Inductive and other for Non-inductive applications, controlling various types of solenoid valves, regulators, etc. for pneumatic automation applications.
Rotary TableRotary Table can control the rotary movement of the conveyor about an axis. Industrial Automation Training SystemThe system is intended to train industrial users and mechatronics students in the area of system design of industrial automation system using components from fields including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic & PLC. The system is provided with multiple modules.
Once a project is conceived, the user/trainee can design the automation system manually or using automation studio software. The circuitry generates the bill of material of the modules, simulates, verifies and validates the automation design system using modules offered by MTAB. Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) System is an integrated, computer-controlled, automated manufacturing system for training that covers material handling systems like Automated Guided Vehicle, CNC machine tools, automatic storage and retrieval systema that can simultaneously process medium-sized volumes of a variety of parts. The parts being produced can be assembled automatically on the assembly station, and can be inspected with the help of a built-in VISION system. In addition to this, a CMM can also be used to check the dimensional accuracy of the component produced in the CIM System.
The system is built on the integral principles of modern manufacturing systems. MTAB-CIM is designed to be flexible, modular, expandable and affordable. MTAB-CIM is configured to work with the equipment shown in tabular form below.
