Steven Lawrence, PH.D. has dedicated his life to student achievement. As a former superintendent of Mt. Diablo Unified School District, he met district-wide California student growth targets and significantly raised student performance in the lowest performing elementary schools. His passion for a student centered learning environment is contagious as putting the needs of students at the focus of all we do is his driving philosophy of education.

Community Involvement

Superintendent Steven Lawrence gave of himself as part of C.A.R.E. Haiti and Providence Haitian Project (July, 1986 – June, 1987) Director, Orphanage of the Immaculate Conception, Port-Au-Prince, Haiti (July 1985 – June, 1986)Co-directed an orphanage with twenty-five boys ranging in ages of 5-18 years old. Spearheaded opening a neighborhood school when all schools were closed because of political upheaval.
