1. February 7, 2014: Meeting of the members of MSU SPIE Student Chapter. Voting for candidates for Officer Travel Grant. Welcoming new members. Discussion of SPIE benefits.
2. October 15, 2014: Out Chapter partially sponsored The Ceremony of Initiation for new students of the International Laser Center of MSU. The schedule included optical competitions, games and banquet.

3. May 23, 2014: Meeting of the members of MSU SPIE Student Chapter. Discussing new ideas for Science Festival 2014.
4. August 17-‐21, 2014: Chapter Vice-‐President Aleksandra Dokukina took part in SPIE Optics and Photonics Conference. Aleksandra took part in the Student Chapter Leadership Workshop during SPIE Optics and Photonics Conference as a representative of our Chapter, made a presentation of her scientific work “Supercontinuum spectrum in IR Bessel-‐Gauss and Gauss pulsed beam filament under anomalous group velocity dispersion in fused silica”. She was a recipient of the Officer Travel Grant.

Major Chapter events in 2011: Accomplished chapter activities for the period from December 2010 till December 2011:
1. February 11, 2011: Meeting of the members of MSU SPIE Student Chapter.
Voting for candidates for Officer Travel Grant;
Welcoming new members. Discussion of SPIE benefits;
2. April 15, 2011: Out Chapter partially sponsored The Ceremony of Initiation for new students of the International Laser Center of MSU. The schedule included optical competitions, games and banquet.
"New" and "Old" Students of Chair of General Physics and Wave Processes played the guitar and sang songs after the Ceremony of Initiation 2011.
3. May 20, 2011: Meeting of the members of MSU SPIE Student Chapter.
Discussing new ideas for Science Festival 2011. Preparing the Outreach Grant Application.
Aleksandra Dokukina with students from other SPIE chapters and conference organizers Dirk Fabian and Tasha Chicovsky at Optics Outreach Games (Optics+Photonics conference, 2014).
5. September 12, 2014: SPIE Student Chapter meeting. Report of Aleksandra Dokukina on her participation in the Leadership Workshop at SPIE Optics + Photonics 2014.Discussion and planning the Science Festival at the International Laser Center of MSU. Preparing the Invitation for Ph.D. and undergraduate students studied optics and photonics to join the SPIE Lomonosov Student Chapter.
6. September 26, 2014: SPIE Student Chapter meeting. Preparing new demonstrations and lectures for Science Festival at the International Laser Center of MSU.
7. October 12, 2014: During annual Moscow Science Festival there was an Open Day in International Laser Center organized by MSU SPIE Student Chapter. The event consisted of: • Lecture of Dr. A.A. Kononvko “Plasmons and metamaterials”
Dr. A.A. Konovko gave the lecture about plasmons and metamaterials, their properties and applications
• Master-‐Class “Wonderful properties of light” from undergraduate students of SPIE Lomonosov Students Chapter
Maxim Yackyevich told listeners about wave optics and Denis Gozhev demonstrated dispersion of light
Denis Gozhev and Vera Andreeva demonstrated children main principles of geometrical optics
Children playing “Hit the target”
Laser Chess competition for school children and their parents
Children got prizes for right answers at quiz after lectures and Laser Chess/Hit the Target Competitions
Awarding girls for the most unusual way in playing Hit the Target
Awarding of the winners of Laser Chess Competition
Maxim Yandulsky was a photographer of evend and Daniil Shipilo gave a lecture on how 3D glass works.
