…for winning this year’s Dodgeball Championship! For those of you that were unable to attend, this year saw some healthy competition between all teams fighting to win the coveted gold medal position.

However, due to skill (and of course awesome outfits), the cobras reigned supreme this year.

MDA National has partnered with The Electives Network – an international online elective information service – to support medical students’ access to quality electives info in Aus by offering free subscription to MDA National medical student Members from June 2012.

A/Prof Julian Rait, MDA National President and A/ Prof of Ophthalmology at the University of Melbourne, said electives are important and formative experienes for tudents, often defining how tomorrow’s doctors aspire to make a difference.

“Providing our medical student Members with free subscription for The Electives Network is a natural extension of the support MDA National provides and ensures access to high quality information on electives in Aus and abroad.

“We see this as an investment in the future of the medical profession that we’re part of, and an important demonstration of our time-honoured commitment and collegiate responsibilites,” A/Prof Rait said.

The Electives Network is an international, online, subscription-based resource designed to assist medical students to plan their medical electives and internship with details of 2, 541 hospitals in 148 countries, interactive resources and peer insight via thousands of student reviews.

MDA National is a doctors for doctors Mutual that has guided medical students and practitioners through career milestones since 1925, and today supports about 35, 000 Members and insureds across Aus. The MDO has seen a 15% increase in student Membershp in the past 12 months.
