Prior to that, he spent five years as Director of Investments at Banc of America Securities in San Francisco. He began his career at Arthur Andersen in Denver, where he provided various value-added services to emerging technology companies and service organizations. CHRIS DIETZ Chris Dietz is a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and has been in the financial services industry since 2001. His comprehensive approach to wealth management comes from his extensive business background in accounting, banking, and lending. Chris is a non-practicing Certified Public Accountant, as well as a Certified Mortgage Loan Originator. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Chris was on the executive team for eleven years of a financial services company and was instrumental in building the company from $15M in annual revenues to $60M in a four year span, prior to a successful merger in 2011. Chris previously worked in investment banking and public accounting. Chris earned an MBA in Finance and an MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado. He started his career with Arthur Andersen in Denver where he provided auditing and financial consulting services to companies in the Telecommunications, Technology, Financial Services, and Real Estate industries.
