During the month of July 2009, teams of directors and volunteers achieved the following whilebased in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Memorandum of Understanding with:

- The University of Health Sciences (need to process through the Lao Embassy inCanada)

- The Vientiane Times / Le Rnovateur- The National Science Council (NSC)- Lao Organic Products Promotion Association (LOPPA) (awaiting their signature)

The MSR International team also performed the following activities pertaining to:

The University of Health Sciences and Hospitals:

- Donation of 4 medical dictionaries (to the Setthathirath Hospital, the Division of Post-Graduate studies of the Ministry of Health, the Luang Prabang Hospital and the Maria Teresa Hospital )

- Donation of one surgery kit to the Setthathirath Hospital- Donation of one treaty of anatomy and physiology to the Setthathirath Hospital- Medical Observation Internship at the Setthathirath Hospital (cf. Medical

Observation Internship Report for the Setthathirath Hospital)- MSR International Medical Observation Internship Report (updated daily by the

observation team, containing all the medical knowledge gathered during theinternship)

- Tutoring and editing for research project on Drug Trafficking in LaosDivision of Post Graduate Studies and Research of the University of HealthSciences, initiated by the University of Melbourne for the Law Enforcement HarmReduction Program (LEHRN)

- Correction of grammar and spelling for medical theses at the Division of PostGraduate Studies and Research of the University of Health Sciences

- Gathering of information at Maria Teresa Lao Luxembourg Hospital, Ban Thalat, Vientiane Province, for HLI (cf. Report for HLI)
