Telephone switch for voice

IP-DSLAM(internet protocol digital line subscriber lineaccess multiplexer) for internet services

PDH multiplexer for digital leased lines

ATM/SDH switches or multiplexers for backhaul of traffic.

A Packet-based Network

Where All services and information are transported by one

network (voice, data, and all sorts of media such as video) all

encapsulated into packets.

Independent from underlying transport-related technologies

IP is the common network layer protocol for transporting

everything.
