Creating an Invitation Card

Step 01:You must have a

prime idea.Here we have a

party. Wintertime.Backyard.Starry sky.Balloons.Bonfire.

Fireworks.Attention: give a name and save

each step individually.

Step 02With the tool “Line”, 2nd

thickness, I draw a few stars.

We will multiply them.

We can edit them: “copy”,

first. Then “paste”. Do this

once, twice... You can also select the stars, and

modify them: So, you will have a b&w sky, plenty

of stars, each one different from the

other. With the few tools of MS

Paint.

Step 03Colouring your draw.Use primary colours:

yellow and cobalt blue.Use zoom to see the results. The 8x zoom shows to you

some quite invisible imperfections in areas that are closed to colours: they remain still white and your

draw seems dirty. In these “ white bits”, the tool

“pencil” can fill with colour the remained white spaces.

Name and save this file.

Step 04With the balloon the procedure

is the same.Remember you are creating

independent files to each step of your drawing. At the final

edition you will have all parts put together. But now, each one is to be kept in his own

file.Use tool “line” drawing the balloon. Then, choose how much colour you want to fill the surface. Remember: You

have to much options in colouring: 16, 256 colours, and... 24 bits. Are in doubt?

Try each one of these solutions.

Step 05The flags.

I’ve grouped them to save space in

the screem.The tool “select”

gives you the power to construct any composition

you would imagine.Select each one of the flags and put it where you want.

Just ahead you will apply them to the

string.

Page 7: MS Paint: Creating an Invitation Card

Step 06The flag tied to the string. You can draw how much

flags you want. And change them individually.

And combine each one to make an unique

rope ornamented withparty flags.

Step 07Use the sketch as a guideTo put each draw in right place

Step 11: Inserting the text box. Remember: MS Paint menu bar has “Image” choice. Changing the option “Opaque” you make

transparent your image. It is useful for applying layers over layers.

Step 12

Title.Observe this brazilian portughese title: June Party, in English.

Capital letters in red.

Illuminated with yellow (it will be put upon a cobalt sky!).

And contoured by a fine black line.

Underlined with same colours.

I spent 2 hours to create this title.

Too much work made under 8x zoom, bit after bit.• With the option “Show Grid”, on menu “Image”. Using grid gives

you total domain over MS Paint. Eliminate all possible errors.

Step 13Superior text box.Inferior text box.

Title.

Observe the black frames around the text boxes.I used frames also to contour all the card.

With the tool “Rectangle”, and “Circle” you can

create countless different frames.

Have a nice party.Thanks.
