Tuesday

Hi Girls, How are you all today? I hope that you are all safe and well. I hope that you got on OK with yesterday’s work. Well done for all of your super work so far. I hope that you enjoyed the short meditation at the start of our lessons yesterday, if you gave it a try. You can also go back and give it another try if you like. It’s very important that we take some time to relax and breathe during this difficult time. You could invite your family to join you if you think that they would like it. Have a lovely Tuesday everyone! Ms. Ormsby

Let’s start off our day

• Before you start your work, I would like

you to try these quick activities for me: 1. Think of 1 great thing that happened

yesterday 2. Think of 2 things that you like about yourself 3. Take 5 deep breaths in and out. You can use a

different action for each one: ★ Pretend you’re blowing out candles ★ Pretend you’re blowing up a balloon ★ Pretend you’re cooling down soup on a spoon ★ Pretend you’re blowing bubbles ★ Pretend you’re blowing out your siblings birthday candles

The Bee ‘Buzz’ goes the bee, hour after hour. ‘Buzz’ goes the bee, from flower to flower. Sucking out the nectar flying it home. Storing up the nectar in the honeycomb ‘Buzz’ goes the bee, making honey so sweet. Bees make the honey that I love to eat! History

Today, we are going to look at how money has changed since the past. In 2002, the Euro (€) was introduced in Ireland. Before that, the Irish pound (£) was used. Can you figure out how many years the euro has been in Ireland for? Look at the photos and chat about how the old money is different to the money we use today. Notice how the coins used in the past also had a harp on the back. It’s a symbol of Ireland.
