* I have been teaching 19 years.* I teach 6th grade science. * I taught 7th and 8th grade ELA in

Florida. * I have taught math, ELA, Social Studies

and Science. * I LOVE teaching!! * I enjoy traveling and spending time

zipper pouch in which to keep your pencils and sharpener.

• You will be responsible for keeping a Science composition journal.

• Kept in the room in bins organized by classes. However, you may take them home to study if needed.

• This journal is where we take notes, draw diagrams, paste in additional things we've done or pages I feel are important!! You will receive a grade on your journal.

Where do I sit?

• If I see that you cannot sit by someone without talking or treating them with respect, you will be moved.

• I will have a sticker with a number on it. You will be assigned by number.

Classroom Procedures

• The following procedures are to be followed in our Science class everyday!

WHINE FREE ZONE!!WHINE FREE ZONE!!

• This classroom is a “No Whining Zone”. That means that there will be no whining, for ANY reason.

• Everything that I do is in your best interest, so please…respect the “No Whining Zone”.

Entering the Science Lab• Please enter quietly.

• Have a seat at your lab table.

• Take out your materials. (pencil, etc.)

• Sharpen pencils and put away backpacks.

. Make sure you have everything you need before you sit down.

• Bring ALL materials to class and take them with you when you leave.

• Follow directions the first time they are given.

• Always raise your hand if you have something to say or want to ask or answer a question!

•Treat each person in this room with

respect and dignity.

RESPECT• Any student who uses profanity,

fights, damages school property (this includes the property of the teacher and other students), or is disrespectful (as defined by the teacher) will be sent to the office IMMEDIATELY.

RESTROOM BREAKS

• You must go between classes. Do not come line up outside my room and wait to ask me if you can go once we are all in the classroom.

Everyday Procedures• Your only homework will be what you don’t

finish at school.• You MUST always do your work in PENCIL!! I

don’t allow erasable pens. You MUST always bring your own pencils. I don’t give out pencils.

• I have high expectations for all of my students!• This means having your work completed

everyday, coming to class with a good attitude and a smile on your face!

• As long as I can see you are trying your best and treating each other with respect, you will be fine!

Classroom Dismissal

1) Do not start packing up prior to my directions. 2) Always clean up around your desk

and make sure to gather all of your things.

3) The teacher dismisses you, not the clock. Wait until I dismiss you. Make sure to PUSH IN

YOUR CHAIR ….very important!
