• Have a seat.

• Take out your materials.

• Begin starter before tardy bell rings.

When you are tardy…• Enter quietly.

• Place excuse in the basket on my desk. You must have an excuse to enter.

• Have a seat and take out your materials.

Starters…• Write at least 3 paragraphs about the journal entry topic in

your Mead Black Marble Wide Ruled Composition Book.• If I am absent for the day or do not have a journal entry topic

on board, then your journal entry topic will be a free-write.• I will check starters to ensure you are completing them but I

will not read them so feel free to express yourself as needed.• On free-write days, you can write about whatever you want.

So if you need to vent about something, please do so.• Please make sure you are dating each journal entry and

separate your paragraphs.

Restroom Procedure…

• Bathroom time will NOT be allowed during a test or during a presentation by me or another student.

• Each student will be given 3 passes per semester for emergency breaks unless a doctor’s note or approval from an administrator is granted.

Hall Passes other than for Bathroom…

You will NOT be allowed to leave the classroom for ANY reason unless you have

a note from another teacher, guidance, administrator, etc and/or ALL assignments

for the day have been completed.

What Did I Miss While I Was Out…Check Ms Bryant’s Website at LSHS’ Website for notes on previous day or get notes from a buddy.

Check Engrade and/or Ms Bryant’s Website for any assignments completed.

Turn in any missing work within first 5 school days after you return.

I will be available during your tutorial day and after school (until 4pm) if assistance is needed.

Turning In Assignments…

Place your paper on the desk to the Left side of you.

If/When you receive a paper, place yours on top and continue passing the stack to your left.

I will come by and collect all stacks.

Classroom Discussions…PLEASE participate.

I want to hear what you have to say.

Make all questions and comments relevant to the current discussion.

If your question is off the topic, write it down and ask later.

Moving Around Room…If you must sharpen a pencil, please quietly

get up, quietly walk to pencil sharpener, quietly sharpen your pencil, and then quietly

return to your assigned seat.

If you must throw something in trash, please quietly get up, quietly walk to trash can,

quietly throw trash away, and then quietly return to your assigned seat.

Class Dismissals…• The teacher dismisses you, not

the bell.

• Do not start packing up prior to the bell.

• Wait until the teacher finishes and officially dismisses you with

“Have a nice day!”
