Gravity
Is the force that pulls objects toward one another
The Law of Universal Gravitation- states that the force of gravity acts between all objects in the universe
Any two objects in the universe, without exception, attract one another

Factors
TWO factors that affect gravitational attraction between objects: mass and distance.
Mass- is the measure of the amount of matter in an object
The more mass an object has, the greater the gravitational force it has.
The farther apart two objects are, the less gravitational force between them

Weight
The force of gravity on a person or object at the surface of the planet.
Weight is a measure of the force of gravity on an object, MASS is a measure of the amount of matter in an object.

Free Fall
When the only force acting on a falling object is gravity.
In free fall, the force of gravity is an unbalanced force that causes an object to accelerate.
Acceleration due to the force of gravity is 9.8m/s2

Air Resistance
Objects falling through the air experience a type of fluid friction called air resistance.
Not the same for all objects The greater the surface area, the
greater the air resistance. As the velocity of a falling object
increases, air resistance increases until it is equal to the force of gravity.

Terminal Velocity
When forces are balanced, the velocity stops increasing .
Terminal Velocity- the greatest velocity that can be obtained by an object in free fall.
Projectile- an object that is thrown.
