Students obtain 8 credits from grade 11 and 12. A one

credit is obtained by receiving a passing grade of C in

every subject

Egyptian Universities will only count 3 credits from G11

Foundation

The University of Science and Technology Foundation Courses are required for all

majors during the first year.

Foundation courses (also known as access or bridging courses) bridge the gap

between the incoming qualifications and those needed to prepare you for

progression onto courses of the undergraduate degree at University of Science

and Technology.

- Students must have achieved a minimum overall score of 95% in the high

school.

-Students must have successfully completed eight different subjects

including the qualifying subjects (chemistry, physics, math and biology).

The minimum required score for accepting the application is a combined total

SAT I 1055 / 1600) and 1100/1600 in SAT II with a minimum score of

500 for each qualifying subject.

_ Students must sit for English proficiency test or submit Toefl IBT or

IELETS ( accordingly the level of the English course will be decided.

- Students are to sit fro admission test the content of the Exam is

covering Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Physics, Biology, Chemistry,

Logical reasoning

. All questions are in multiple-choice format. The test is comprised of five

sections for a total duration of 150 minutes with no breaks. Each section

should be completed within 30 minutes and the number of questions varies

according to the subject.

There is one elective section, allowing candidates to choose to solve either

the math II section or the biology section. All other sections are

mandatory. The exam does not follow a specific curriculum. It is designed

to measure students’ understanding of the basic concepts. The exam is

computer administered.
