Mrs. Mitchell’s Class Newsletter April 13 Math We are finishing up modeling, adding, subtracting, and comparing fractions. How to help at home: Have your child help follow a recipe at home. Students will be taking a practice SOL test on Wednesday. Results will be sent home this week. Social Studies We are studying Ancient Rome. Students are learning about their contributions and how this civilization affects us today. Study guide will be sent home this week! Reading We are reviewing for SOLs in reading. Please make plans to attend the PTO meeting on Wednesday @ 6. We will be discussing testing. There will be no spelling words until after testing. A letter will be sent home later this week informing you of your child’s practice test results. Upcoming Events April 14 PTO Meeting April 14 & 16 tutoring April 21 & 23 tutoring April 30 & May 1 Reading SOL Please continue to study facts with your child at home. Science We are reviewing graphing. Students will be reading and creating pictographs, bar graphs, and line plots. Measurement test will be Wednesday!
