CONGRATULATIONS TO NOVEMBER’S STUDENTS OF THE MONTH - MARTRICE AND KILLION!!!!! November 26, 2012 Book Orders Due December 3rd.... If your child would like to order a book(s), please send your order, with check or money, by Monday, December 3rd. There are lots of great buys, and students always love the day those books come in!!!!!! Reading...We will be focusing on poetry this week. Students will be reading several different poems, and will be talking about the characteristics of poetry. Students will be bringing home a book to read in their reading folder. Each child will choose his/her book. Writing...Students have been writing their biographies based on the biography that they read. Math...Students will receive their graded Topic 7 math test tomorrow. Please check over the test with your child. We began topic 8, ‘Shapes’, today. Students will be learning about points, lines, planes, line segments, rays, and angles. In addition, they will be measuring angles and learning more about polygon, triangles, and quadrilaterals. Social Studies...Students will be learning about the revolutionary war. Snack Reminder...Please remember to send snack with your child on their assigned day if at all possible. Several students have missed days, while others continue to bring their snack for the class. SPELLING TEST...STUDENTS WILL HAVE A TEST ON FRIDAY OVER HOMOPHONES- WORDS THAT SOUND THE SAME, BUT ARE SPELLED DIFFERENTLY AND HAVE A DIFFERENT MEANING. Upcoming...Wednesday, December 19 - Holiday party, 2:30 dismissal, end of 2nd quarter December 20 - January 3 - Winter Break, Teachers return Wednesday, January 2. Students do not return until Thursday, January 3. CONGRATULATIONS TO NOVEMBER’S STUDENTS OF THE MONTH - MARTRICE AND KILLION!!!!!

Book Orders Due December 3rd....If your child would like to order a book(s), please send your order, with check or money, by Monday, December 3rd. There are lots of great buys, and students always love the day those books come in!!!!!!
