  • Commit to provide an urgent and immediate supply of sustainable reusable sanitary kits for MremboSafi beneficiaries

    Commit to ensuring that national funding decisions are assessed for impact on the existing legislative commitment to menstrual sanitation and health.

    Ensure young disadvantaged African women have access to aordable reusable pads that can sustain them for more than 5 years - through the MremboSafi #GirlTalk Seamstress Initiative.

    Commit to raising awareness of menstrual health and hygiene among young school-going girls, by ensuring sanitary products are available in local primary and secondary schools.

    Commit to ensuring that community sanitation programmes in urban slums include adequate and appropriate menstrual hygiene facilities in public sanitation blocks.

    Commit to provide educational material about menstrual sanitation at MremboSafis beneficiary schools in hygiene education for both girls and boys.

    Ensure that menstrual hygiene and sanitation resonates across health, education, adolescent and youth development and life skills programmes by collaborating with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Devolution and Planning, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, Non-Profit Organizations, NGOs

    and Inter-governmental organizations such as the United Nations.

    Introduce a management system where the MremboSafi beneficiary schools have functional, environmentally friendly disposal facilities that are well maintained, clean and functional.

    Commit to break the silence and stigma surrounding menstruation hygiene by initiating and moderating conversation on MremboSafi digital and oine platforms.

    Encourage increased engagement in advocacy on menstrual hygiene and encouraging relevant sectors to

    collaborate for eective advocacy and implementation.

    Commit to using locally-appropriate materials sourced locally to promote local solutions for local menstrual hygiene problems.

    Commit to providing accurate and user-friendly information on the biological facts about menstruation, menstrual health and hygiene.

    Engage with a range of programmes and monitor

    the inclusion of menstrual hygiene across health, devolution, planning, environmental and water sectors,

    promoting sustainable menstrual sanitation where necessary.
