ROUND ROBIN WRITING

Break into groups according to popsicle stick color. You will use the following story starter to write an original work of creative writing. After 10 minutes, you will pass your paper to the person on your left. They will write for 10 minutes and pass again until you have received your paper back again. You will write for 10 more minutes to conclude the story.

Remember, your story must have: theme, plot, setting, character(s), conflict, and an identifiable and consistent point of view. You must also include dialogue.

ROUND ROBIN WRITING

Your story starter. . .

The geese, ducks, and swans had returned to the lake. Spring was finally here. Duchess and her daughter Tina were feeding the birds. There was nothing Duchess liked better than spring and summer. She could finally shake off the winter blues and start planning fun summer activities.

***When the alarm on the stopwatch sounds, pass your paper to the person on your left and wait until I tell you to begin.***
