On behalf of MR-ProFun, thank you to everyone who participated in the survey and shared it with their professional network. This first surveyhad nearly 100 facilities reporting their re-opening status and performance and we are excited to share the results with all of you. Thesurvey gathered self-reported data from July 1 – July 15, 2020. Since this was the first survey the performance data did not represent aspecific time period as various facilities re-opened at different times. From discussions, some facilities have been open since May, whileothers who reported performance data opened days before the survey was completed.

This has been a challenging and uncharted time for all of us as we have had extended closures, changes to how we operate, program, andserve our guests. As an industry that provides experiences to our guests, we believe sharing best practices and ideas will help us all planbetter and get through this ever-changing scenario that we are all trying to manage. This is why we started this survey - as we talked withmany of our industry colleagues and discussed the challenges they were facing and what solutions and ideas were out there. We plan oncontinuing this survey monthly and hope that we can grow the number of participants so this can be a resource to help facilities plan andnavigate through this period of uncertainty.

Finally, on behalf of guests worldwide, thank you all for continuing to support your communities throughout this period. Many of yourfacilities have become a sanctuary and reprieve from the realities of what we face day to day. Others have continued to provide programsand services to their communities, and we are all grateful for the work you do.

Thanks,

Ray GiangVice President – Planning & Advisory Services

SUMMARY AND SERIES 2 SURVEY

Below is a recap of the nearly 100 facilities surveyed:

• 55% of facilities have re-opened, while 36% of facilities remain closed, and the remaining 9% have recently re-closed. From our discussions somefacilities have reclosed again due to local restrictions. Of the facilities that remain closed, the majority are planning on re-opening in 1-3 months.

• 80% of re-opened facilities are operating below 50% of their capacity. Half of Gardens and 75% of Outdoor Attractions are operating above 40% ofcapacity.

• 16% of re-opened facilities are indicating higher attendance as compared to the prior year, while 84% of facilities are reporting lower attendance. Ofthose facilities that reported attendance performance, the median facility indicated a 51-60% decrease in attendance. About 25% of Gardens andOutdoor Attractions indicated higher attendance as compared to the prior year. A breakdown of attendance performance by facility type can be foundin the appendix.

Series 2 Survey - Based on feedback, MR-ProFun will be adjusting the survey slightly to gather some additional information. Furthermore, as the situationremains fluid, the survey will again be issued at the beginning of August with an August 15th due date for submission. The focus will be on re-opening andperformance for the month of July 2020 versus July 2019. The following are some of the changes that you will see in Series 2. If there is additionalfeedback please feel free to reach out to us.

• Adding additional facility types – Zoo, Aquarium, and Water Park.

• Adding region or state indicator.

• An optional question will be added regarding if and how facilities have changed or removed programming.

• Series 2 Survey will be open from August 1 -15, 2020. It is requested that attendance performance data be from July 1 – 31, 2020 versus the sameperiod last year or from date of re-opening in July to the end of the month.
