Viking InvasionsThe goal of this project is to test your abilities of logistics and planning by giving you the responsibility of leading a viking expedition. You have a viking longship at your disposal and as many Viking warriors as you see fit to sail it. Currently you are at the Norse city of Tonsberg and have heard tales of incredible wealth at the Northumbrian Monastery of Lindisfarne on the coast of Britain. They are weak and their wealth will make you and your crew comfortable for a long time. All you have to do is get there…..

Task One: Decide your destination, plot your course (map), distance, time, rationale/motivation

Using google maps chart out your course to your selected destination and then create your timeline of your voyage assuming that a longship can average 7 miles per hour. How many days will it take you to get there and back?

Task Two: Decide how many men you are going to bring with you keeping in mind that you are going to have to feed them there and back and split the wealth with them.

- People, boats, supplies, weapons, take into account space for treasure - Face an Obstacle (Draw a number and see what happens and then explain how you

deal with it.)

Task Three: The Scenario- Once you arrive at your destination, draw another number to decide your scenario. Read the scenario and decide how you will handle it.
