PROCEDURERead the safety instructions on the product container before starting.

• Prepare the pipe − Ensurethepipeiscutsquare,removetheburrsand

sharpedges. − Donotcreatealargechamberthatwilltrapapoolof

solventcementasthiswillweakenthecomponents.

• Witness mark the pipe − Markthespigotwithapencilormarkeratadistance

equaltotheinternaldepthofthesocket.

• Dry fit the joint − Checktheproperalignmentofcomponents. − Withpressurepipeaninterferencefitmustbereached

beforethespigotisfullyinsertedtothepencilmark. − Thefinalsolventcementingprocesswillautomatically

re-roundminorovalityinpipeorsocket.

• Apply Mozzi primer − Usealintfreecleancottonclothdampenedwith

Mozziprimertothoroughlycleanthetwosurfaces. − Donotbrushorpourtheprimeron. − Primeonejointatatime. − Alwaysuseprimerasthiscleans,degreases,removes

theglazeonthepipeandsoftensthesurfaceinpreparationforaneffectivesolventcementbond.

• Apply Mozzi Glue − ApplyathinevencoatofMozziGluesolventcementtothe

socketfirst,thentothespigotuptothewitnessmark. − DonotallowtheMozziGluetopoolattherootofthe

socketasthesolventcementwillcontinuetoattackthePVCandweakenthecomponents.

− Thebrushshouldbelargeenoughtoapplythesolventcementwithin30seconds.

− Usingabrushone-thirdofthepipediameterisagoodruleofthumb.

• Assemble the joint − AssemblequicklybeforetheMozziGluedriesby

pushingthespigotfullyhomewhiletwistingaquarterofaturntodistributethecementevenly.

− Holdthejointforatleast30secondsundisturbed. − WipeoffexcessMozziGlueimmediatelyanddonot

disturbthejointforafurtherfiveminutesminimum. − Largerdiameterpipeswillrequiremechanicalforceto

fullyhomethespigot.

• Cure the joint − Curingisafunctionoftemperature,humidityandtime. − Thehigherthetemperatureandthelowerthe

humidity,thefasterthejointwillcure,asaguideallow24hoursat16°Cand48hoursat0°C.

− Donotpressuretestpressurepipejointsforatleast24hours.
