Membership Services Requirements

Currently enrolled as a student at Brockport Have current CPR/AED certification & maintain that certification Previous employment with Campus Recreation of at least one semester Good customer service, communication and organizational skills Previous experience with money transactions

Responsibilities Arrive to work on time Find your own sub when needed Wear proper uniform and attire to each shift Clock in Keep up with updates on activities, events and notices (email and/or messages at desk) Have a radio on you Properly utilize Fusion software, complete iPad forms, distribute equipment and perform money transactions Answer incoming calls Enforce Campus Recreation policies Report all hazards to SERC Manager Lead in the direction and implementation of risk management/safety policies and be familiar with Emergency

Action Plan Attend all required meetings and training sessions Familiarize yourself with EAP and appropriate procedures

SERC Manager Requirements

Must be currently enrolled as a student at The College at Brockport Have current First Aid, CPR/AED certification and maintain that certification Have previous employment with Campus Recreation of at least one year (at least one

semester Membership Services) Good customer service, communication and organizational skills Previous management experience Previous experience with money transactions

Responsibilities General (same as Membership Services: substitution, EAP, uniform, at work on time) Assist the Membership Services Staff Assist Field House Attendant with set up of equipment Know what events and activities are happening during your shift and know

responsibilities Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed by staff and patrons Follow substitution and call out procedures Follow appropriate disciplinary action: warning system Additional responsibilities when opening and closing the building

creativity for Personal Training program Train at least 5 clients per semester Work health fairs and other events Stay current with industry standards through continuing education (workshops,

additional certifications, webinars, journals, etc.) Complete necessary continuing education credits to keep your certification up to date Work shifts in the Fitness Center

Assist the Intramural Coordinator with supervision, training, and leadership of all Intramurals, Club Sports and employees Participate in orientation, homecoming, departmental special events, and other all-campus activities Serve as on duty professional one or two nights a week and as the weekend on call professional as part of the established

rotation Assist Facility Coordinator and Ice Arena Manager as needed Manage and participate in special events sponsored by Campus Recreation and all other Campus Departments as requested Participate in campus committees as designated by supervisor Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures including anti-hazing workshops for Club Sports Oversee intramural employee scheduling through SubItUp Assist in all documentation of Club Sports forms and documents through MyBrockport Manage and update intramural leagues, special events, rules, policies and procedures through IMLeagues.com Manage intramural payments through Fusion Market and promote intramurals and club sports through Reach TVs

Requirements Must be full-time matriculated College at Brockport graduate student Must possess a bachelor’s degree in recreation, sport management, physical education or related field This position requires excellent customer service skills and knowledge of Collegiate Intramurals and Club Sports The graduate assistant must be able to interact effectively with students, staff and faculty The graduate assistant must also be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher…etc. Dressed and act in a professional manner

Preferred Requirements Experience working in a Collegiate Recreation setting Experience working with Intramurals and/or Club Sports Certified in CPR/AED and First or willing to obtain certification
