I want my production to have a good impact

on the viewer as I want them to enjoy my video.

Furthermore, I want them to want to listen to the band more therefore this video is also to promote the band and their songs.

Emotional Impact on the viewer

I am recording two males in my video. They are both in their teens which will link to

the audience of the actual band.

Personnel I need

Piano – for the actor to play Drums – for the actor to play Mic – for the actor to sing into

Props I need

I have discussed with my models what they’ll

need to bring in, such as a change of clothes (casual & smart).

Moreover, I have discussed the staging of the performance and what I will need from each person in relation to the shots, movement and performance.

I have told them what I will be providing, such as a microphone, so that they don’t need to worry about that.

Have you briefed your personnel/models?

I will need a spotlight on the singer who will be

playing the piano. I will then need a backlight to differentiate

the black piano with the black background. I could add the blackout for the end of the

video to signify the end. It doesn’t matter if the lights are seen on

screen as that’s the type of effect I’m going for.

What lighting will you need?

I will shoot in the theatre at Gateshead

College. This will allow me to have the space to film.

In addition to this, the theatre will help me to keep the simplicity of the video that I want.

I will use the black curtain which is already in the theatre. This will allow me to create a video which has no distractions from the background

Where will you shoot? Will you need a backdrop?

I don’t need to use makeup on the two guys I

am using as I don’t need to highlight their features and it doesn’t matter because it’s in black and white.

I will have the actors wearing casual clothes as this will link to their audience,

However, I will also have them wearing smart clothes to give a range of outfits, shots and it will link to the formality of playing a piano.
