Before you begin the process of moving house, there is a lot of planning and organising that needs to be done. After helping thousands of Australians move home, we know what is required to ensure a stress-free move.

We understand that every move is different and can provide a moving plan tailored to your needs. Whether you just want us to move your belongings from A to B or you require a full suite of moving services, we have the knowledge and expertise to move your goods safely to your new home.

To ensure that your moving experience is as comprehensive and stress-free as possible, we will discuss your needs and then form a moving plan and written proposal which will incorporate:

SECURE STORAGE

We have our own network of storage facilities across Australia, New Zealand and beyond. We use specially constructed, modular storage containers or steel containers which are secure, clean, pest-proof and designed to safely store any item from a carton to a lounge suite. Our storage facilities are regularly fumigated to ensure a pest-free environment.

Where your precious items require special care, these items are stored in our VIP Special Goods area to ensure maximum care. All goods entering and exiting our facilities are subject to strict inventory checks; each item is checked into the Inventory Listing upon entrance and checked out upon exit.

If you are not planning to move straight away, we can store items for short or long periods of time. Our tracking and labelling facilities enable us to identify and obtain special items as and when you need them.

STORAGE TIPS

– Wash woollens before packing them for storage

– Vacuum rugs or better still, have them cleaned

– Check you haven’t included flammable liquids, perishable food items or other hazardous material

– Ensure your fridge, freezer and/or washing machine are thoroughly dry

Note: We cannot store any items that exhibit any visible signs of mould

INSURANCE

Unforeseen events can damage your furniture or personal belongings while they are being moved or stored. Bad weather, train derailments, atmospheric changes or even excess vibrations on the road can affect your belongings, no matter how carefully they have been packed. Our moving insurance ensures that in the event of your possessions getting damaged or lost during your move, your valuable goods are covered.

So when you’re moving, don’t forget your Transit and Storage Insurance.

It is important that you read and understand the Financial Services Guide, Product Disclosure Statement and Policy Wording before you make any decisions regarding our insurance products.

PACKING AND UNPACKING

We are the moving specialists and have the knowledge and expertise to make your move easy. Depending on your individual requirements, we can do all of your packing and unpacking in its entirety, or we offer a flexible service which allows you to partially or completely pack your own items.

With items that require special care, we offer protective packaging to ensure that your items are safe and secure during your move. We can assist you in sorting your possessions for moving or storage, and if necessary, your personal effects can be sorted into hand luggage, air cargo, shipping and long-term storage.

SELF-PACKING TIPS

– We can provide all the materials for your convenience. Our cartons are specially designed for moving and we are happy to provide appropriate cartons for your individual needs

– Don’t pack fragile items such as mirrors or paintings. We’ll pack them with the care and protection they require

– Don’t pack items into pieces of furniture, such as chest of drawers, as this causes too much strain on the furniture

– Do not pack any items that exhibit visible signs of mould

As soon as your removalists have safely delivered your personal goods and furniture, our Valet Unpacking Team will take care of everything. They can work alongside you, or you can simply relax and leave it all to them as they follow your instructions. They will unpack your cartons, set up your kitchen, organise your bedrooms, and do everything to make your new home fully functional from the moment you arrive.

Our Valet Services Team will take care of everything, allowing you to settle into your new home.

VALET UNPACKING FEATURES

– Cupboards, shelves and benchtops are wiped clean

– Cartons are unpacked with contents placed into cupboards, including glassware, crockery, cutlery, kitchen goods and personal items

– Food items are placed into the pantry and refrigerator

– Clothing unpacked and hung in wardrobes

– Beds are freshly made and organised

– Linen and towels are put away and colour coordinated

– Children’s rooms organised with all toys and clothes tidily away

– Home office unpacked and organised

– Books, CDs, DVDs neatly on shelves

– Floors are vacuumed

– Empty packing cartons are stacked, made ready for collection and our removalists are notified

In addition, our Valet Services Team can hang your artwork and mirrors and even arrange a home handyman.

CLEANING

When everything is packed and removed we can arrange our professional cleaning services to detail your home prior to the new owners moving in. We can take care of everything from vacuuming, dusting and cleaning windows, to washing floors, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom detailing.

Would you like us to clean your new home before you arrive? We can arrange a full or partial house clean so that you can focus on settling in.

PET TRANSPORT

We understand that your pets are family members too. Our expert pet transport service takes care of every detail from start to finish, minimising your stress and giving you peace of mind.

Our experienced Pet Travel Consultants look after every aspect of a pet’s journey from airline bookings on the most direct flights, detailed information about your destinations’ quarantine and customs requirements, to advice about any vaccinations your pet may require.

Your pet will be provided with an experienced Pet Handler who will pick them up on the day of departure in a specially-fitted and air conditioned pet shuttle vehicle. Your pet will then be transported comfortably to the airport where the Vet will do a quick check-up prior to departure, and can then relax in comfort in the state-of-the-art transit lounge facilities in the lead up to travel or between flights.

UTILITY CONNECT
