YESS is an innovative model of integrating community services into JTHS.

In 2004, JTHS received a Safe Schools/Healthy Students federal grant to develop in-school supports services in

the following 6 categories:

1. After-School Opportunities

2. Drug & Alcohol Abuse

3. Emotional Support

4. Juvenile Justice

5. Teen Pregnancy/Early Childhood

6. Violence

The YESS Model

• Goal – To empower students to succeed in school & life

• The Strategy – Provide all students with direct access to the community support services they need to overcome the barriers to academic success by bringing those exemplary services into the schools

• The Execution – YESS community partners have offices on both JTHS campuses
