Day 1: Leura – Port Stephens

Depart Blue Mountains Hotel School and travelnorth to Port Stephens. On arrival in the “BlueWater Paradise”, Port Stephens, we will enjoy aluxury dolphin cruise including a buffet lunch andthe chance to see Dolphins in the wild. It is thentime to hit the sand hills of Stockton Beach onboard a 4WD and sand boarding tour, after whichwe will check-in to our motel before enjoyingdinner together.

Day 2: Port Stephens - Byron Bay

After breakfast it is time to hit the road again andcontinue our journey north travelling on the PacificHighway, enjoying the ever changing Australiancoastal scenery. Stops for breaks and lunch will bemade before we reach our next destination thesurfing capital of Australia – Byron Bay.

Day 3: Byron Bay – Gold Coast

It is a short drive to Australia’s famous beachregion – Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The Gold Coast is a modern city of glittering high-rise buildings, built around superb beaches,including the world renowned “Surfer’s Paradise”.The Gold Coast is where the ‘bikini’ was born.Tonight we hit the streets and will find upmarketbars and lively nightclubs.

Day 4: Gold Coast - TangaloomaResort

A short drive brings us to our high speedcatamaran ferry for our cruise to Tangalooma IslandResort. This island presents another world awayand is the perfect destination for us providing aunique adventure. Protected and treasured, this isnature’s theme park where amazing naturalencounters are just part of the everyday experience.The star attraction at the resort is the uniqueactivity of hand-feeding a pod of wild bottlenosedolphins.

Day 5: Tangalooma Island Resort

Today we go looking for the migrating whales on awhale watching cruise and we are lucky enough tobe right in the middle of the whale season. Enjoy abuffet lunch onboard before cruising back throughMoreton Bay to Tangalooma. Tonight once againenjoy the lively island nightlife.

Day 6: Australia Zoo – Hervey Bay

After the return ferry from Tangalooma, we join ourwaiting coach for the drive to Australia Zoo, createdby Steve Irwin the Crocodlie Hunter. It is the homeof some of Australia's most unique and amazingwildlife, as well as some remarkable animals fromoverseas. Continuing north we pass throughGympie and start to see cane fields and dairy farmsas we head towards Hervey Bay. This is the sub-tropical central coast of Queensland.

Day 7: Hervey Bay – The Old StationFarmstay

This morning our day begins with a tour of theBundaberg Rum Distillery, home of the famousBundy Rum. The guided tour will have you look,feel and taste your way through the making of theFamous Aussie Spirit. We then head inland toexperience outback Queensland and visit a realworking Australian cattle station. On arrival weboard a Tractor train for a guided tour of thisstation including meeting some Brahman cattle up

close. Bushwalk to the “rock” to enjoy sunset andafter a hearty home cooked meal participate inwhip cracking, line dancing and Karaoke until closeof bar.

Day 8: Old Station – Airlie Beach

After departing the cattle station, it is back to thecoast with our destination Airlie Beach, thegateway to the Whitsundays. There are a number ofbars, pubs and clubs all located within closeproximity of each other. Other facilities in the townof Airlie Beach include a selection of interestingshops and boutiques, banks, a stinger-freeswimming lagoon and boardwalks throughlandscaped parklands.

Days 9-10: Sailing the Whitsundays

If there is to be one memorable highlight to yourNorthern adventure, it has to be the opportunity tosail the azure blue waters of the Whitsundaypassage where your day will be filled with sailing

We sleep aboard our sailing boat anchored in abeautifully protected region of this amazingwaterway.

Day 11: Hamilton Island

We sail into the holiday island called HamiltonIsland for our last night together.
