Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association (MPCCA)

Mount Pleasant Community Centre is jointly operated by the Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association (MPCCA) and the Vancouver Park Board. The MPCCA’s mission is to encourage, promote and support the educational, cultural, social and physical well-being of the people of the Mount Pleasant community. Our volunteer Board meets monthly providing advocacy for programs, events and services, both at the centre and in the community. We welcome all members of the public to become involved in our community and participate as a director and/or on our Committees (Childcare, Community Outreach, Parks, Pool and Program). For more information or to have a director return your call, please contact Brenda Tang at 604-257-3070.

MOUNT PLEASANT OUTDOOR POOL IS COMING BACK!

On October 28, 2019, Park Board voted unanimously to return outdoor swimming to Mount Pleasant, and the pool that closed in 2009 will be replaced.

Thank you to all who advocated for and supported our pool over the years. The Pool Committee has remained steadfast in our goal to replace the outdoor swimming pool per the direction laid out by the community through public consultation. The Mount Pleasant Community has raised over $111,000 for this facility that will be funded primarily through Park Board Capital Funds. Tax deductible donations to the Pool Replacement Fund c/o the Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association are welcome. Your continued patience and support is appreciated while the renewal process unfolds.

We look forward to welcoming you to the opening day pool party!

3 Corners Child Care Centre (Children aged 3 months – 5 Years)

Our curriculum at 3 Corners is emergent, child-centered, and play-based. As educators we plan according to the different interests and abilities of the children in the centre. Emphasis is placed on the experiences of the children, rather than on the results of those experiences.

Our Program is Currently FULL and we do not maintain an Ongoing Waitlist

When we have a space we advertise it on our website for 2 weeks, so checking twice a month is sufficient. We will advertise a space with child’s age, start date and waitlist opening date. Waitlist is 1st come, 1st serve and your child must fit the advertised criteria to be considered from the waitlist. Once a space is filled we discard the waitlist.

September is our main intake time and we advertise these spaces on our

website in May each year. Spaces are typically for infants.
