THE MCS THEATRE CLUB PRESENTS SHAKESPEARE’S “AS YOU LIKE IT”

As part of the continuing celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Theatre Club proudly presents an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic comedy As You Like It on campus on April 30 and May 1 starting at 7:00 pm each night. Tickets will be available soon and will be $25 for front-row premium seats and $10 for general admission.

As You Like It follows its heroine Rosalind as she flees persecution in her uncle's court, accompanied by her cousin Celia to find safety and, eventually, love, in the Forest of Arden. In the forest, they encounter a variety of memorable characters, notably Jaques, who speaks many of Shakespeare's most famous speeches, including a monologue that begins with the Theatre Club’s slogan, “All the world’s a stage.”

PUBLIC HEALTH VACCINES

As announced previously, COVID-19 vaccinations are now open to individuals 16 years and older. You can register at www.vaccinatecnmi.com. Please also be sure that your children of all ages are up to date with other vaccines that protect against other diseases. We will be sending home reminder letters from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation for students that need to update their respective vaccines.

STAY VIGILANT. STAY SAFE. STAY HEALTHY.

Our diligent and collective efforts as a community have kept the CNMI one of the safest places in the world with one of the lowest transmission rates in the nation. Likewise, here at the school, we thank all our families for working with us and cooperating with our COVID-19 mitigation efforts. Whether teaching your children proper hygiene, complying with our procedures and protocols, or following traffic safety procedures, you have helped our school safely conduct face-to-face classes. However, we must not become complacent. We must remain vigilant. As such, remember the three simple Ws:

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

• Watch your distance by maintaining a physical distance of at least 6 feet between yourself and other people you don’t live with.

• Wear a mask in public settings around people who don’t live in your household.

These are challenging times, but we have survived devastating typhoons, economic recessions, and many other tragedies. But, we’re all in this together, and with FAITH in our Lord, HOPE for a better tomorrow, and LOVE for each other, we will get through this. We are KNIGHT STRONG. We are MARIANAS STRONG.

Sincerely in Christ,

Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD President
