    The motorsport industry requires high-level techniciansand engineers to be at the oreront o competitiveracing. The award opens up exciting opportunities

    within all sectors o motorsport and the motorsportservice industries.

    This course, developed in conjunction with themotorsport industry, oers a good grounding andintroduction to motorsport. Students learn basic skills toallow them to enter a race team and, in the second halo the year, progress to involvement in a major part oa motorsport operation working at one o our partnercompanies. The team prepares and supports cars whichcould potentially race anywhere in the world. In thelatter part o the second year, study is University-based.

    The course develops sound technical knowledgeand skills in motorsport and racing technology.On successul completion you will have achieved aFoundation degree in Motorsport Technology. I youwish to continue your studies to honours degree level,

    you have a choice to study Advanced Vehicle Dynamics,Aerodynamics or Engine Design in the Top-up year.

    There is also an opportunity or you to undertake awork-based project on work placement in a motorsportteam, which not only gives you valuable experience,but provides an opportunity to demonstrate the skillsdeveloped during the course. By studying an extraTop-up year, you can achieve a BSc(Hons) in MotorsportTechnology.
