Motorola HM6 Test Procedures 1) Connect LMT cable to PC and MCUF port 2) Launch Procomm Plus software 3) Set Procomm Plus bit rate to 9600bps. ( this is at the floating bar at the bottom ) 4) If it is set correctly, you will see the following command prompt MMI_RAM 1015> 5) Start the BTS by switching on the PSU. 6) The command prompt will switch to MMI_ROM 1015> 7) Load PCMCIA card into the MCUF Slot. This card must be from a previous BTS with identical configuration. 8) Type burn at the command prompt MMI_ROM 1015> 9) Wait for a response. MMI will indicate erasing and burning of FLASH. This will end with the MMI indicating MMI_ROM 1015> 10) Type set_s <site ID> ( example set_s 11 refers to site ID 11 ). This data is available on the flash card but you must know the site ID. 11) Wait for the responses and actions to complete. Once completed MMI will indicate the following at the prompt:- Initialisation complete. All commands accepted. 12) Remove PCMCIA card from the MCUF slot. 13) Type state <site ID> ( example state 11 for site ID 11 ) 14) MMI will display status reports. If you scroll DRI will be declared as not loaded. 15) Return to command prompt MMI_ROM 1015> 16) Type !! 17) MMI will display status reports. If you scroll DRI will be declared as loaded. 18) HM6 is now ready for the Racal 19) Connect all required cables. Select on of the PRM files from Racal flash card, either 900 or 1800 that I have provided in the previous e-mail. Load that file. 20) Move on to ABIS controlled test parameters table. 21) Select the radio to be tested and other parameters using the keypad. Usually the default is fine for all except the database file. Select the datafile 1760V9E9.002. This also I have provided in the previous e- mail. Instruct the Racal to read and accept this file ie select this. 22) Also make sure the antenna select and CTU are the correct ones. 23) You can then run configure BTS 24) The database will download to the MCUF. This will take up to 10 minutes to complete. 25) The MMI will indicate soft reset when the download is activated and will return to MMI_ROM 1015> After a few seconds. 26) Once Configure BTS shows PASS proceed as normal with any tests you want.
