MotoPOD LLC to Certify Motorcycle Carriers

Chicago, IL – MotoPOD LLC has taken the first steps towards

certification of its cargo pods for the Cirrus SR-22 and Cessna

182. The patent-pending design allows pilots to carry a street-

legal motorcycle beneath their airplane. After landing, it takes

3-4 minutes to remove the motorcycle, unfold the handlebars

and ride away. With ground transportation at any airport, pilots

can enjoy door-to-door travel, visit new places and explore

their destinations.

The pods also boost cargo space while keeping the weight

near the aircraft’s center of gravity. It’s a great way to carry

bicycles, golf clubs, skis, fishing poles, dirty cargo and items

up to 8ft in length. The “top-loading” design uses a winch

system to lift/lower the pod to/from the belly. This exposes

the pod’s open top and provides unrestricted access to the

cargo. It also allows pilots to reconfigure their aircraft, by

attaching or removing their cargo pod in under 60 seconds.

Motorcycles Pods

Boost your cargo space while keeping the weight near your center of gravity. The top-loading design accommodates bulky cargo that most pilots leave behind. Using the built-in winch system, you can attach/remove your pod in under a minute. Simply winch your pod onto the belly and secure it with pins; it’s that easy! Attach your pod to triple your cargo space, then remove it when you’re done.
