Different types of motivation are frequently described as being either extrinsic or intrinsic.
• Extrinsic Motivation.Extrinsic motivations are those that arise from outside of
the individual and often involve rewards such as trophies, money, social recognition or praise
• Intrinsic Motivation Intrinsic motivations are those that arise from within the

Ways to motivate employees include:• 1. Simple recognition- recognition is free and goes a long
way to showing your appreciation for a job well done. Workers who are deserving of recognition for accomplishments on the job should get it.
• Promote two-way communication(Maintain an open-door policy)
• Give praise in public( great for the individual's morale and motivational to others)
• Tailor your reward(simple as a face-to face compliment or thank-you note)
