• What is motivation? Many people know motivation as the driving force

behind an action. This is probably the simplest explanation about motivation. Motivation can be considered the state of having encouragement to

Types Of Motivation

Different types of motivation are frequently described as being either extrinsic or intrinsic.

• Extrinsic Motivation.Extrinsic motivations are those that arise from outside of

the individual and often involve rewards such as trophies, money, social recognition or praise

• Intrinsic Motivation Intrinsic motivations are those that arise from within the

individual, such as doing a complicated cross-word puzzle purely for the personal gratification of solving a problem http://psychology.about.com

Ways to motivate employees include:• 1. Simple recognition- recognition is free and goes a long

way to showing your appreciation for a job well done. Workers who are deserving of recognition for accomplishments on the job should get it.

• Promote two-way communication(Maintain an open-door policy)

• Give praise in public( great for the individual's morale and motivational to others)

• Tailor your reward(simple as a face-to face compliment or thank-you note)

• Happy environment(Strive to create a work environment that is open, trusting and fun. Encourage new ideas and initiative)

• Clear direction• High involvement( sense of ownership)• Reasonable rewards(Recognize, reward and

promote people based on their working performance)

• Motivation is a kind of challenge and commitment which a person done with itself to meet its objectives and goals

• Extrinsic Motivation: I believe a person is always in a learning stage this thing make him influence or motivate from outside environment and from others

• Intrinsic Motivation: can sometime become personal motivation that a person need for its own personality recognition
