But she didn’t. She used the platform her fame had won her to speak out for the most marginalized, the unborn. When accepting her Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, she said: “And I feel one thing I want to share with you all, the greatest destroyer of peace today is the cry of the innocent unborn child. For if a mother can murder her own child in her womb, what is left for you and for me to kill each other?” 2) Reach out in love However, Mother Teresa also reminds us that we must spread this truth with love. This quote is also taken from the prayer breakfast address: How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts.” 3) Recognize the real difficulties This also means recognizing the very real situations that people find themselves in. Mother Teresa knew that keeping a baby often isn’t easy – love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Working with people in the most unimaginable circumstances, she knew better than anyone how difficult it can be, and that a baby changes the parents’ lives beyond recognition. So, the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love, that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts.” 4) Do your part This recognition requires those of us fighting for the cause to give of ourselves. Mother Teresa told the assembled VIPs at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C, on February 5, 1994, what she and her sisters did to put her pro-life rhetoric into action. “We are fighting abortion by adoption — by care of the mother and adoption for her baby. We have saved thousands of lives. We have sent word to the clinics, to the hospitals and police stations: ‘Please don’t destroy the child; we will take the child.’ So we always have someone tell the mothers in trouble: ‘Come, we will take care of you, we will get a home for your child.'” 5) The greatest destroyer of peace We may not be able to personally care for mothers and babies to this extent, but we should all be willing to translate our beliefs into real action – we too must give until it hurts. This could be by volunteering, or by making it known to those around you that you would help them in any difficulty, or by lobbying your senator, or simply by speaking up for your beliefs. To use another famous quote from Mother Teresa, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” There are many other causes worth fighting for, but we must never let ourselves be convinced that the pro-life fight is a side-issue, or one that affects only a small number of people. It’s not just that we care about babies, and also their mothers – we care about everyone. A final quote from the Washington address: Many people are very, very concerned with the children of India, with the children of Africa where quite a few die of hunger, and so on. Many people are also concerned about all the violence in this great country of the United States. These concerns are very good. But often these same people are not concerned with the millions who are being killed by the deliberate decision of their own mothers. And this is what is the greatest destroyer of peace today — abortion which brings people to such blindness.” ://www.lifenews.com/2018/10/05/mother-teresas-5-lessons-for-pro-life-people-2/

Mother Teresa’s 5 Lessons for Pro-Life People

1) Dare to speak out Mother Teresa’s main work was with the poor and hungry, and I’m sure it would have been easier for her to stick to that work and enjoy the praise she received for it. But she didn’t. She used the platform her fame had won her to speak out for the most marginalized, the unborn. When accepting her Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, she said:

“And I feel one thing I want to share with you all, the greatest destroyer of peace today is the cry of the innocent unborn child. For if a mother can murder her own child in her womb, what is left for you and for me to kill each other?” 2) Reach out in love However, Mother Teresa also reminds us that we must spread this truth with love. This quote is also taken from the prayer breakfast address: “How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts.” 3) Recognize the real difficulties This also means recognizing the very real situations that people find themselves in. Mother Teresa knew that keeping a baby often isn’t easy – love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Working with people in the most unimaginable circumstances, she knew better than anyone how difficult it can be, and that a baby changes the parents’ lives beyond recognition.

”So, the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love, that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts.” 4) Do your part This recognition requires those of us fighting for the cause to give of ourselves. Facebook, Twitter Censor Pro-Life Groups for “Hate Speech”

Choice42, a Canadian pro-life organization, told LifeNews on October 17 that their posts were being taken down by Facebook. Founder and Director Laura Klassen received a notification from Facebook that her post was taken down because it went against “Community Standards on hate speech.” The post was a photo that the organization had made with the caption, “Whenever a group of people is denied their humanity, we have a problem.” There were three images in the meme: a slave, Holocaust survivors, and an unborn fetus in the womb. This photo was apparently hate speech. Another of the group’s posts, a video called “Louise’s Story,” was also censored by Facebook. It showed a young woman who was raped, conceived and chose to keep her baby. Klassen stated, “There was nothing graphic or disturbing in the video.” Twitter has also prevented Choice42 from promoting their tweets in the same way that the platform prevented the pro-life group LiveAction from promotions. Twitter told Choice42 that their tweets were “ineligible for promotion” until all of their “anti-abortion” tweets were taken down. Facebook has followed suit, prohibiting an ad for a link that was titled, “Unplanned Pregnancy? Need Help?” https://www.liveaction.org/media/meet-lila-rose/ https://www.lifenews.com/2018/10/19/facebook-twitter-censor-pro-life-group-for-hate-speech-because-it-posted-this-image/

The Family Savings Account Act has passed in the US House and now goes to the Senate. It gives parents, grandparents, or other relatives the opportunity to open a 529 plan for an unborn child and begin to save for that child's education. It also allows homeschool parents to participate in 529 education savings accounts Additionally, it allows people to withdraw money from their retirement funds -- without penalty -- if it's specifically used to pay for the costs associated with raising a child. ‘Steep and Icy Slope’: Toronto Hospital Eyes Euthanizing Kids Without Parental

Consent Doctors and ethicists at Canada’s largest children’s hospital have said they would consider killing a child under the country’s developing new euthanasia legislation without informing the child’s parents first. Canada’s “Medical Assistance in Dying” (MAID) legislation (Bill C-14) is only two years old and currently limits euthanasia to competent patients over age 18. But in their paper, published Sept. 21 in the British Medical Journal of Medical Ethics, employees of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children (corporately branded SickKids) and the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics reviewed the procedural options for killing pediatric patients and said that “we write our policy with an eye to the near future when capable young people may gain access to MAID.” St. John Paul II taught in his 1995 encyclical Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life) that “euthanasia is a grave violation of the law of God, since it is the deliberate and morally unacceptable killing of a human person. This doctrine is based upon the natural law and upon the written word of God, is transmitted by the Church’s Tradition and taught by the ordinary and universal magisterium” (65). http://www.ncregister.com/daily-news/steep-and-icy-slope-toronto-hospital-eyes-euthanizing-kids-without-parental

Waste Hauler Generates Electricity by Burning Aborted Babies

A medical waste disposal company in Maryland is burning aborted babies for energy, the pro-life group Created Equal said this week. http://www.createdequal.org/ Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services is a Baltimore-based company (https://curtisbaymws.com/pages/our-service-areas) that works in about 10 states along the east coast. It collects aborted babies from the city Planned Parenthood and possibly other abortion facilities, and then burns them in a special waste-to-energy incinerator, the pro-life group said this week. The group noted that many medical waste haulers cannot afford their own incinerators, so Curtis Bay also receives medical waste from other companies that contract with abortion businesses, including BioMedical Services. Similar reports of incinerating aborted babies’ bodies for energy have surfaced in the past few years. In 2014, news broke that an energy plant in Brooks, Oregon allegedly was burning aborted and miscarried babies to generate electricity. The company that owns the facility denied the claims, but a former employee said otherwise. Public outrage prompted the Marion County Board of Commissioners to stop transporting medical waste to the company. https://www.lifenews.com/2018/10/18/waste-hauler-generates-electricity-by-burning-aborted-babies/
