COMPANY BACKGROUND
Singer Corporation is an American manufacturer of sewing machines, first established
as I. M. Singer & Co. in 1851 by Isaac Merritt Singer with New York lawyer Edward Clark.
Best known for its sewing machines, it was renamed Singer Manufacturing Company in 1865,
then The Singer Company in 1963. It is based in La Vergne, Tennessee near Nashville. Its
first large factory for mass production was built in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1863. Since 1851,
the name Singer has been synonymous with sewing. The spirit of p ractical design and creative
innovation that characterized the company at its beginning continues today as we develop
products for every level of sewing. We have celebrated many firsts, including the world's first
zigzag machine, the first electronic machines and we now proudly produce the world's most
advanced home sewing and embroidery machine. From home décor and clothing construction
to embroidery and quilting, SINGER is dedicated to help people express themselves through
sewing.

THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN THE PRODUCTION REFRIGERATORS.
STEP 1
Refrigerators today consist of several basic components: the exterior cabinet and door,
the inner cabinet or liner, the insulation inserted between the two, the cooling system, the
refrigerant, and the fixtures. This is where the refrigerator starts with the first task to do. All
refrigerators interior made from coil and steel. This step explain the aluminum coil and steel
that go to steering machine for slide it into a pieces. The slide of refrigerator pieces is do for
front, back and side of the refrigerator according to the size they do that feed customers need.
After finish, all the slide goes to computer punch press to make the hole for running varies
wires of the refrigerator.
Page 7
STEP 2
In step two, after the pieces go through from computer punch press for making the
wires holes then all the pieces go to break press machine. There all the pieces going to break
punch machine for again form and dies to create edges for the refrigerator.
STEP 3
The inner cabinet is made of sheet metal, like the outer cabinet, or of plastic. The
insulation that fills the gap between the inner and outer cabinets consists of fiberglass or
polyfoam. After going through in step 2 and already shape the edges of refrigerator, then the
Page 8
worker places all the pieces of the refrigerator on the outer shell. The pieces that organize
through assembly jig those hold it firmly together in the process of making this refrigerator.
STEP 4
After finish in step three, the process for this refrigerator continue with its interior.
Here the vacuum forming machine needs to hit the sheet of plastic and shape it against a
number nominal. Then, after finishes the shape of plastic sheet the worker cut the unneeded
plastic according the interior of refrigerator size and shape. The plastic sheet places perfectly
in the middle of the outer shell of refrigerator.

STEP 5
After finish in step four, the evaporator put inside the refrigerator to keep it cools. The
components of the cooling system (compressor, condenser, coils, fins) are made of aluminum,
copper, or an alloy. The tubing is usually copper, because of that metal's ductility—its ability
to bend without breaking. Then they put the electric control panel goes into place for it
connect to amaze of wires and eventually a microprocessor for the refrigerator.
Page 10
STEP 6
After finish doing all the specific part of wiring system in the refrigerator, the worker
use the magnet machine to get and hold the refrigerator door for put it in the refrigerator
body for a complete task. Freon remains the most commonly used refrigerant, and almost all
of the large interior fixtures (door and cabinet liners) are made from vacuum-formed plastic;
smaller fixtures (butter compartments, egg trays, salad crispers) are purchased as small plastic
blanks or in pre-formed pieces.
Page 11
STEP 7
While in step seven, these processes explain about how they put the pam gas to the
refrigerator. The worker attaches the extension dub and makes a tiny tube to allow the gas
flow to the tank in the refrigerator. After that, they put the filter hoses and the gas flows in.
then they use the leak rate meter to check if their have a leak in the gas wire before going to
the next step.
Page 12
STEP 8
The second last step for the finishing touch in refrigerator is put the refrigerator handle
and other item inside the refrigerator. After that, the worker put a piece of company logo goes
to the door of the refrigerator.
STEP 9
Last step after finish the entire step in making refrigerator, they sold it to the
customers. This refrigerator use to keep our food fresh and cool just the ways we like it.

CONCLUSION
As a conclusion for this refrigerator process, this process explains briefly about how to
make a refrigerator step by step. So far, I only know the function and the uses of refrigerator
but now I already know the process to make it. It’s have an 8 step to make a complete
refrigerator. The process of making the complete one refrigerator is too difficult because it
must going through many processes before finish as a complete refrigerator to keep our food
in fresh and cool just the way we like it.
